My Movie Reviews - and I suppose I'll throw in a few others for good measure.

Movies reviews for 2005 are here! The list is pretty thin right now - my apologies. Now, a bit about this section of the site. Every movie will begin with my personal review. If I haven't see it, ya ain't gonna find it here. This means you won't find many children's movies, sci-fi movies, and a few other types.

Every movie review is biased, and I'm going to let you in on my bias. I like acting. Good acting. Great, mind-blowing, I-forgot-I-was-watching-an-actor acting. Therefore my opinions on movies are heavily biased towards this. I don't care about cinematography and keep your foreshadowing to yourself, thank you. I know that directors are important, but most of the time I can't figure out why. But at least I buy into that. (So, if this doesn't sit well with you, you can skip my review and jump down to the others if ya want. Otherwise, don't let the door hit ya on the ass - just kidding;-)

The story, of course, is the other factor. Story and acting - I mean really, what else matters? If you get those two right, pretty much everything else takes care of itself. (of course a terrible or exceptionally good soundtrack will grab my attention.) Anyways, the story is important and I do base my opinions on story. You should just now that I believe great acting can save a mediocre story. The best story can be ruined with terrible acting. I mean really, let's take the Shawshank Redemption. Could you even watch that film if it starred Ashton Kutcher instead of Tim Robbins? Or how about Ben Stiller instead of Morgan Freeman? Please. It makes me a little ill to even think about.

Oh, and more thing. I never write anything that gives the story away. I hate when people do that. OK, enough of me talking about me - on to the movies!!
